DORA Register of Information Template
According to communication from the European Financial Supervisory Authority, there will be no official template for the register of information. For this reason, BaFin published an register of information template on March 6, 2025. However, this template has some limitations: It is valid only for financial institutes reporting in Germany. According to BaFin’s statement of 6.3.2025, the template has not been fully tested and is a beta version. Accordingly, updates are to be expected that require data to be transferred to the current version. A simple way to avoid such problems is to use a convenient Excel template for storing all the data of the register of information. Testing and reporting the Register of Information
With the complete and correctly filled template of the register of information, you have all the information required by the European Financial Supervisory Authority. However, reporting is not possible in this format. An XBRL-CSV format is required for reporting. You can create this using the template as an input data source. Alternatively, we offer a conversion tool. If you do not want a dedicated conversion tool, you have the option of having the conversion carried out for you as a one-off service. The same applies to the test: here we offer a separate test tool or the test as a service. The test is based on 117 validation rules published by the European Financial Supervisory Authority on 25.2.2025.
