DORA Register of Information Tool
The DORA Register of Information Tool helps to submit an error-free register from the perspective of the European Financial Supervisory Authority. After submission, it tests all information registers with regard to 117 rules. These so-called validation rules include 38 formal and 79 content-related aspects. One example of a formal check is the correct syntax of the reporting format. The indication of the responsible parent company for a group company in the scope of the information register is an example of a substantive aspect of the check.

- Automated test of all validations of the European Financial Supervisory Authority
- Output of all errors as a clear report
- Automated conversion to the XBRL-CSV reporting format
- Import of all Register of Information templates of national supervisory authorities
The information register tool checks the entire database in relation to the 117 validation rules analogous to the European Financial Supervisory Authority. The result is an intuitively understandable list of all errors. This means that all errors that would have been identified during validation by the supervisory authority are known at the touch of a button. Through iterative testing in conjunction with systematic error correction, a 100% correct information register can be generated. This avoids the possibility of errors being reported by the supervisory authority. The same applies to the risk of the submission being rejected in the event of formal errors.
On the one hand, the available templates of the respective national authorities of the European Financial Supervisory Authority serve as the input format for testing. On the other hand, the XBRL-CSV reporting format can be tested automatically. In addition, our Register of Information Template, which offers various advantages, is an accepted input format. The Register of Information Tool offered here takes into account all requirements of DORA Article 28 (3) and the associated implementing technical standard 2024/2956 for testing the Register of Information as well as the downstream conversion to the XBRL-CSV reporting format.

Register of Information Tool – Further benefits
In addition to the automated check of all validations of the European Financial Supervisory Authority, the Information Register tool offers the advantage that all clear logical errors are detected. An example of a logical error is the specification of a framework agreement for an individual contract that is not listed in the overview of all contracts. Such content-related quality checks significantly increase the consistency and informative value of the data contained in the information register. This not only avoids possible findings in audits, but also creates an informative database for all ICT third-party service providers. This is a good starting point for initiating various optimization measures. By using our IQRisk application for ICT risk analysis, existing concentration risks become transparent at the touch of a button.
The services described above in the form of automated testing and conversion are conveniently provided at a high level by the IQRegister application. The software is recommended for extensive information registers and for medium and high complexity.
