DORA Register of Information Tool

DORA Register of Information Tool

100% error-free, real-time testing of all authority rules, daily updates

The DORA register of information tool helps to submit an error-free register from the perspective of the European Banking Authority. The authority validates all registers of information after submission against 117 rules. These so-called validation rules comprise 38 formal and 79 substantive aspects.

An example of a formal check is the correct syntax of the reporting format. Providing the responsible parent company for an entity of the group within the scope of the register of information is an example of a substantive validation aspect.

100% accurate registers through real-time testing of all authority rules

The register of information tool validates the entire data set against the 117 validation rules in line with the European Banking Authority. The result is an intuitively understandable list of all errors. This provides, at the push of a button, all errors that would have been detected during authority validation. Through iterative testing combined with systematic error correction, a 100% accurate register of information can be produced. This avoids any potential error notifications by the authority. The same applies to the risk of rejection of the submission in case of formal deficiencies.

The input formats for testing include the templates available from the respective national authorities of the European Banking Authority. In addition, the xBRL-CSV reporting format can be tested automatically. Additionally, our register of information template, which offers various advantages, is an accepted input format. The register of information tool offered here incorporates all requirements of DORA Article 28(3) and the associated Implementing Technical Standard 2024/2956 for testing the register of information as well as subsequent conversion into the XBRL-CSV reporting format.

Register of Information Tool – Additional Benefits

Beyond the automated validation of all rules of the European Banking Authority, the register of information tool offers the advantage of detecting all clear logical errors. An example of a logical error is referencing an overarching agreement for an individual contract that is not listed in the overview of all contracts. Such substantive quality checks significantly increase the consistency and informational value of the data contained in the register of information. This not only helps to avoid potential audit findings but also creates an informative data basis on all ICT third-party service providers. This provides an excellent starting point for initiating various optimisation measures. By using our IQRisk application for ICT risk analysis, existing concentration risks are made transparent at the push of a button.

The above-mentioned services such as automated testing and conversion, are conveniently provided at a high level by the IQRegister application. The software is recommended for extensive registers of information and for medium to high complexity scenarios.
